SiriusBTR was not built like your typical Accounting & Tax Firm.
In 2015, five partners started the first iteration of Sirius by opening an office in Tempe, Arizona. Our mission was to make a meaningful difference as a “values-based” boutique tax firm dedicated to helping struggling independent contractors – at that time, predominantly taxi drivers.
In the very next year, the taxicab market shifted …and we lost over 50% of our client base. While the partners decided to throw in the towel, one partner decided to take the reigns and breathe new life into the firm…
With over 25 years experience in transportation as a local & regional carrier fleet owner, a business leader, and eventually management & tax consultant, our managing partner, Derek “DL” Harris has been the driving force behind a new vision, a new way of doing Accounting & Tax for smaller firms. DL has worked with over 300 companies on local, regional, national, and international levels. This exposure and untapping of resources was and remains key to understanding both the common and hidden business challenges many small business owners face and producing breakthrough results for our clients.
